I’m a trusted, ethical freelance PR with over 25 years of experience in communications. I am based in London and work nationally with a stellar team of associates. I work on a diverse portfolio of arts, culture, museums and environmental projects on long and short-term contracts. I have a wealth of knowledge, contacts and imaginative thinking to offer organisations wishing to strengthen brand awareness, build audiences and sustain relationships with key supporters locally, nationally and internationally.

I add value to all the companies I work with through lateral thinking, responsiveness and strategic advocacy. Having been an artist, I have a deep understanding of creative processes and a unique ability to ask my clients the most prescient questions, enhancing how their stories are told.

My passion lies in finding the right angle in a story and writing media-friendly, exceptional copy. I can make a difference to you by seeking out and nurturing great relationships with relevant writers, influencers and press contacts. Sometimes I bring in my team to help.

I am a Member of the Arts Marketing Association, and I have previously been a Trustee of Theatre Rites and Tangled Feet. I occasionally carry out talks and workshops on communications for the Arts Marketing Association, membership organisations and groups.

Binita truly is people-focussed with her work. I know how deservedly popular she is but when we’re working together, I genuinely feel like I’m her only client. I often forget that she isn’t in Manchester because she feels like a warm neighbour. I’ve been super grateful to have her advocating for me and my organisation.

Olympias is a small but ambitious music charity in Manchester that has historically struggled to communicate our vision to a wider audience. As Founder and Chief Executive of Olympias, working with Binita and Annie has been one of the great pleasures of my career. They care deeply about the work they are doing and are absolutely fearless in their pursuit of excellence. The Space inBetween’s highly personal, strategic and 360 approach to PR and comms has been transformative for the charity, feeding into myriad aspects of the way we think and talk about ourselves as an organisation. The results speak for themselves, with the charity receiving national attention. To the movers and shakers of the world looking for PR, The Space inBetween is the one!
Dr Jo Yee Cheung, Founder and Chief Executive, Olympias Music Foundation
Binita and Hannah have been utterly fantastic. Their compelling storytelling delivered a super exciting PR campaign for ‘Millennium Girls’. They supported me in defining the messaging, finding PR opportunities across print and radio to showcase the playwright and her debut play. They immediately understood the concept, our audience and created a full and rich strategy which secured us dynamic and far-reaching reviews and coverage in the lead up to opening night, building a brilliant buzz and turnout for press night.

I appreciated the time Binita took to meet the wider teams on our large-scale project, Nature Calling, getting to know the artists and their practices. Binita was excellent at navigating and leading, and it was reassuring to have her knowledge and expertise. We were fortunate to secure not only local BBC news but also national print media across our projects, which was a brilliant validation of the hard work Binita put in.
Kerenza McLarnan, Arts Development and Programme Manager, National Landscapes Association
We were delighted with the work of The Space inBetween. Binita and Annie are tenacious, ethical, and ambitious in their approach to PR. It was fantastic to receive regional, national and international press attention for the 2024 Harewood Biennial, as well as national broadcast coverage for Harewood’s Colours Uncovered exhibition.
Darren Pih, former Curator at Harewood House Trust (now Whitworth)
You star. You are brilliant and gave me EXACTLY what I needed. I don’t think you can ever fully please a journalist... but you are high on my list of those that do, I can’t thank you enough.
Alex Pope, Journalist with BBC News
Binita was brilliant to work with, bringing enthusiasm, ideas and understanding to a complex project in a very political environment. Her ability to build and leverage relationships with stakeholders and journalists resulted in plenty of stand out media coverage in print and broadcast titles. She is also very thorough, adaptable, has excellent processes in place and good attention to detail. And I’m glad that we’re continuing to work together on the legacy of this project.
